1, tabasco pepper, lots of blooms but the leaves seem kinda small. This is my 9 year old’s plant and I think he’s doing a great job with it. I think smaller leaves are typical of this species.

2 poblano, no peppers yet this year but blooms are coming in strong!

3/4 longhorn, this is our second year growing this. It was described as a type of cayenne but I get no heat at all. We’ve already had 5 or so ripe peppers. Wonderful corking and they taste pretty good, just wish they were hot! Blossoms are coming in and we should get a pretty good yield.

5 Home Depot habanero rescue 😂 seems to be doing well! Is the purple stem typical on habaneros? In the black pot behind it is one of my two tabasco plants that I purchased from McIlheney Co on Avery island as excess stock. I bought them as seedlings when I was in New Iberia a couple of weeks ago and they seem to be doing very well! My son also yoinked a couple three peppers off their greenhouse plants (which are the size of like 5 year old oak trees) and I’ve just started those seeds so I can over winter them and get a head start next year. The tabasco plant in the first picture is from Proven Winners.

6 dragon cayenne, enjoyable heat, fantastic flavor. We’ve already gotten about 20 ripe peppers off this plant. I like to ferment them into hot sauce, or just eat them raw with a pinch of salt. Hopefully this will be a prolific producer all season.

7 super chili, great flavor. I tried a pepper that was growing on one of the plants at the nursery and it was so mild and delicious that I had to have it. I later googled it and it’s supposed to be around 50k SHU. Thinking that that was a mistake I bit into one today and I think 50k might be a bit light 😂

Not pictured:

Hungarian hot wax, Fresno, Gypsy, Bhut jolokia Carmen, and one other (the name escapes me). But everything seems to be thriving!

Every time I have grown tabascos I feel like they have dragged behind everything else this time in the season. They’ll be doing great in another month.
