I have a Kamado Joe classic 3, Traeger Ironwood 850, and a home made ‘kegegg’ and cook almost every night on the KJ – just love it!!
How often do you grill outside?

In the winter, infrequently. Spring to Fall – 5 days a week with the other 2 usually consuming leftovers from one of the other 5 days.

Pretty much every weekend. I work blue collar labor intensive days so I do a big cook on my Sunday and have leftovers the rest of the week. Been about 7 years this way. Use my KJ for just about everything as my oven hasn’t worked in years and years and no reason to fix it when I can use the kj as my oven, grill, smoker & slow cooker. Everything from bread to lasagnia to obvious brisket goes in

When my wife was alive 5-6 days a week. Now maybe 1 day.

About 2x month in the spring, summer and fall to smoke meat. I’d use it more often but it’s a PIA to clean between cooks. I use my Weber and oven more frequently.

winter is the only downtime for mine.

Maybe 3 or 4 times a week? Did a nice spatchcocked jerk chicken last night.

I’d say I avg around 80-100 uses a year. It would be more but I use my offset on the weekends.

I mostly only use mine for longer smoking sessions. Those of you who use it multiple times per week, does it not take you 30-60 minutes to get it up to temp? That’s the main reason I don’t use mine as often.

It depends on the weather. It rains a lot where i live, so sometimes i’ll use the kamado 3/4/5 times a week and some weeks i won’t put it on at all. My second child will be born in a couple of weeks so i probably have less time/energy to have fun using the kamado joe. Which is all good.
