I went to a farm in Thailand, and next to owners house there were these 2 plants. Bad perspective in the pics but pic 1 was around 6′ tall and pic 2 was 5′ across.
I asked him how old they were and he said 7 years. I didn’t think pepper plants could live that long, but regardless I never saw any that large (TWSS).

Peppers are perennials, why wouldn’t they?
