We went super out there with this one, basil pesto pasta in 5 minutes means we substituted out whole wheat pasta for wholewheat noodles to keep the time down. This dish is so easy and tasty it’s a must try!!

yo dudes welcome to 5 minute pesto pasta we’re going to make a pesto from scratch we’re going to cook homem mail pasta and we’re going to do it in five minutes on your marks get set go okay first step we’ve boiled the kettle we have boiled water there we are taking whole meal noodles so we’ve got because pasta itself takes 11 minutes to boil a whole meal pasta does and we want to make this whole grains to bump the fiber and the nutritional content enough waffle whack in there four Nest gone in boiling water that’s going to take 4 minutes to boil while that’s happening we’re going to make P grab a jug you’ll need if you’re going to leave the stalks on we have 50 g of Basel now just to clarify this isn’t a jug this is a blender jug blender okay great high heat get the flame going we need every bit of heat we can get okay we got 50 g of Basel if you have a high-speed blender include the stalk if you do not get 50 g of Basel Leaf we have a highspeed blender we’re including the stalk bump in it goes 100 G of cashews in they go Mr Flynn ours are roasted doesn’t matter if they’re roasted or raw roastes makes it nicer we have 150 g of oil we’re using olive oil here make sure it’s neutral tasting if you’re using a strong cold pressed olive oil it’s just going to dominate and add too much acidity make sure it’s a neutral tasting oil we 150 mil three cloves of garlic beautiful okay salt H you squeeze that one in darling yes sir thank you darling H juice of half a lime approximately 10 mil could I use a lemon if I didn’t have a lime uh yeah just make sure there’s no Pips and another question if I didn’t be Basel could I use coriander of course he could there you go great oh and listen while we’re at it if I didn’t have any cashews could have used almond Mr Flynn that’s a great suggestion follow them okay one teaspoon of salt ready boom in it goes put lid on and here we [Music] go beautiful here we are pasta done you want to try 2 minutes 29 okay so we’re rocking it super simple oh beautiful glass this isn’t a traditional baso pasta cuz the traditional normally has parmesan this is a vegan next level one the lime brings the acidity that cuts through kind of the the fat of the cashew nuts basil carrier flavor boom ready to go how we doing time you want to whip that minutes okay past is boiling we’ve got 1 minute left so that that they’ve been on for 4 minutes we have nice oh okay while they come out there just give them a little rinse give them a little rinse with cold water just until the SS come out clear to remove the extra starch so just so it doesn’t stick together it’s going to go in with fat here now so it’s going to be good ready in the pan you want to get us a bit of heat Mr Flynn there is heat heat on okay let’s get all our pasta in there you a spatula or a spoon spatula or what spoon on mixing in oh nice does actually look really green here now 16 seconds here we go looking good fan sh done from scratch 5 minutes okay way the pimping it up quick suggestions okay we knock off the heat knock off the heat okay quick serving suggestions okay okay right now it looks a bit kind of clean and it looks a bit a bit just like green pasta flakes CH grapes a nice little sprinkle I love a little bit of heat you know you could put cherry tomatoes nice serving suggestion few Goji berries even go well look delish Next Level here we go dudes a pesta pasta from scratch yeah from scratch jeez wow and it’s whole meal so pretty good quick and a takeway here we go look this classy be too romantic look at that looks great that’s amazing very tasty way better than any takeway um thank you for subscribing thank you for watching good I know it’s really tasty do give a sh sell that yeah I think rocking anyway give me a shot excuse me with my headphone but I’m pretty excited um thanks for watching give us a thumbs up and big love

  2. This is really incredible! I pop a punnet of halved cherry tomatoes in the pan too and serve it with nutritional yeast

  3. Should have saved some of the pasta water to mix the spaghetti with the sauce since the sauce was so thick but it still looked good. Well done!

  4. Omg you guys , I made the pesto tonight to use as a spread on our vegan sandwiches (1 slice vegan mayo and the other slice with pesto ….. and I’m in culinary bliss, it was such an amazing taste experience ….. from your biggest fan in the Yukon , much love ❤️!

  5. Ingredients

    Pan on High Heat – Noodles
    :
    Add pasta (whole meal noodle) cook 4 min

    Give rinse of on Pasta post boiling to remove extra starch and avoid sticking together

    Sauce – create in blender:

    50 g Basil (with stalks if high speed blender) – use coriander if no basil

    100g Cashew nuts (roasted better) – can use almonds too

    150g Oil (olive oil – neutral tasting)) can also use Avocodo to instead

    ½ Lime Juice

    1 tsp Salt ( heaped)

    Add Noodle and Pasta to pan

    Mix pasta and sauce together

    Seasonings
    :
    Chilli flakes

    Goji Berries
