Did a small 2.5lb Pichana quick on the minimax. Turned out great. Cooked indirect for at 250 for about 25–30 minutes then hot grilled for about 5-6 minutes per side.

I’m not an expert, but that type of direct flame makes the food taste burnt IMO.
Actually there was no burnt taste whatsoever.
Just made another post with the pics.
For Picanha, I always go with the more traditional Brazilian rotisserie approach.
Flames aren’t supposed to touch the meat.
Love it when they are on fire and everyone at bbq is panicking, like WTF! Then it cuts perfectly.
