I have been craving this sandwich for weeks. I live in a cooler climate so I have to wait a little longer for those delicious, ripe, fresh off the vine tomatoes.
Now I want it even more!

I’ve had several these last few weeks. I like to broil one side of the bread until brown and use that side as the insides. Helps hold the sandwiches integrity.

I did the same, farmers market first thing Saturday morning. Loaded up on fresh tomatoes and sourdough, and ate pretty much nothing but tomato sandwiches all weekend.
