I bought this pack of peppers two days ago. I left them out on my counter today, and when I got home, one was shriveled and had leaked all over the counter. But the other two are still firm and haven’t “leaked”. Cause?

It might be hard to see, but the pepper at the top of the image is super soft and has basically collapsed onto itself. The counter under the package of peppers was soaked! (You can see tenants on the chip bag).

I’m assuming the one pepper has gone bad, but they all looked the same when I left the grocery store, so what would’ve caused one to perish but not the other 2?
