of tips and tricks for food and beauty today on the beauty Boutique I will be showing you how to make pesto penne so we are going to be making two things pasta and pesto soaps [Music] what does that mean what does that even mean simple guys it means you will be creating a sauce that will go with our pasta penne is basically just a type of pasta this type of pasta so I will start the boiling the pasta over here welcome in Crow Pro [Applause] and today I have a sous chef my sous chef for today is hello guys this right here you don’t have the screen so anyway we’ll be helping out today so we’ll just add our boil our hot water to get our pastel going now we need salt and water for our pasta [Music] so you want to be sure that your water boils [Music] three cups so we bring that to a boil add our salt you want your water pasta water to always be salty [Music] for those that usually worldwide their pasta with oil guys that is the wrong way to cook your pasta you are just wasting your oil you’re just wasting your oil welcome in Miriam Gracie welcome Aisha welcome into [Music] okay this is boiling we are going to go ahead [Music] to add our pasta [Music] pasta and Erie will do that okay so that’s that this should be ready and say here we don’t need that Spirit it should be ready and say about 70 11 minutes [Music] 7 to 11 minutes while this is going on we’re gonna move right here and start our pesto let me get a shopping board foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] this is actually very easy to make this recipe does not need water it doesn’t need water guys to make your pesto you do not need water [Music] you do not need water so what do we need for the pesto we will be needing nuts any nuts of your choice so I’ll be using cashew nuts I’ll be using lemon I’ll be using Parmesan cheese and the main ingredients for pesto is basil leaves these leaves this particular one is from my garden but I’ll be mixing it I love this particular um especially because it is so strong I love the flavor that comes with it and of course I’ll be using another kind of squishy I’ll be bringing both of them together now you can put all of your ingredients in a bowl and transfer here but I will be sharing with you guys [Music] as I go everything as I go I’ll be adding right here so let’s start so you bring in your basil basically let me tell you before we go on what’s a pesto like I said pesto is basically um a sauce is an Italian sauce traditionally you crush garlic pine nuts traditionally fine nuts oh Craig thank you and of course oil the oil will help it not stick together pine nuts salt basil leaves and um a blend of olive oil thank you so much Craig now that I’m listing the ingredients I am sure I would have [Music] I would have remembered so let’s get that going how are you guys doing is this something you have tried before is this something you plan to try again is this something you will try so let’s bring in our cashew nuts remember I’m just making one cup one cup of pesto one quarter cup of penne so bring that in [Music] our garlic and trust me the Niger baby me is burning for Pepe well I’m restraining myself and then olive oil you will need quite a bit of that olive oil do not forget to add salt to taste I am adding up to like a spoon because I’ll be adding lemon to mine I’ll be adding lemon because I love the flavor it gives okay [Music] or parmesan cheese to this so I’ve grated the parmesan and we’ll bring that to plate [Music] all righty [Music] looking good looking good hi Lucena welcome in hussaina okay look at what it looks like let’s get this started okay [Music] all righty it is gonna be a little bit noisy a little bit okay so you want to give you want to give this a very smooth cake and mind you pestos are green in color now I notice that look at that my parmesan cheese and my nuts have taken over so I will just bring in more basil to the mix and blend [Music] okay [Music] a very very smooth paste do not forget all right look at that I will be adding a little bit more oil because you want your pesto to be creamy is it only pasta you can use this for no you can spread that toast foreign [Music] is almost ready so let’s come back to this to the blend [Music] [Applause] all righty that looks good oops this did not get in all right since you didn’t get it let’s bring something else to this [Music] [Music] [Applause] okay this is it let me get a spoon here again give me a teaspoon and we will try that out so are you ready thank you Craig thank you tinu so [Music] this is what your pesto should look like creamy and beautiful beautiful let’s taste for salt um [Music] oh my God the lemon just takes it an extra level of deliciousness [Music] all right so we are taking this off to start with our pasta I hope you are enjoying the that’s how you know if your pasta is cooked no this is not cooked okay you see it is still a bit raw look at it okay so let’s bring our pasta back I find that penne actually Cooks panel requires more time to cook than most kinds of pasta has anyone else experienced this before maybe because penne is thick I don’t know I find that uh Talia tally um spaghetti and some other pasta cook faster I don’t know I just find that [Music] all right you guys while we wait I’ll take the time to appreciate you for coming thank you so much for coming yeah about 10 minutes yes and we’ll spend more than 10 chives I do not have black pepper black pepper would have been a perfect mix to this let’s add more of the dill and of course I’ll blend it I’ll blend that off camera but that’s a deal and chives oh it smells so good crack I added garlic thank you welcome in success I actually love garlic a lot Craig I wouldn’t have forgotten to add that trust me I did add garlic so just that oh my God take a picture guys alrighty penne should be ready let’s move that aside bring in this pan and we will be using [Music] we’ll be using the same pasta water to cook this [Music] okay let’s bring in a little of this water with us this recipe [Music] doesn’t fall for pepper but because I’m a Nigerian babe and I love peppers I am going to slice pepper [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] so that’s that and we will go ahead from the fridge one is fine alrighty so fetch your penne oh your pesto look at that look at that the round ones bring that to your mix like so on low Heats and mix that together I’m not going to be using the whole of this pesto because it will really like it will really overpower the pasta you do not want to do that add more okay looks good already it’s good looks good looks good yes it looks really good guys oh my God and it smells so good in here it does smell really good now ire is going to be the judge of how this really tastes it looks really healthy and some people may say oh my God that looks so yucky well guess what not all yucky looking meals a Yorkie most of my yucky looking meals are tasty because I do know how to bring the flavors together alrighty guys close up close up look at that look at that so we turn off the heat [Music] and I chop my pepper and we’ll bring our display transcribe this to a place for all of you to see what we made together [Music] some people will add prawns [Music] look at the sun table going some people will add prawns to theirs some will add chicken but today we’re doing that on table alrighty our plates are you guys in here and
