Ok I admit, I grew up not loving brussels sprouts. But roasting it this way with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup is so delish! It takes minutes to put together and cooks in under 15 minutes! Perfect for the holidays or really any day of the week!

[Applause] welcome back guys happy december we’re almost there we’re almost there home stretch guys home stretch so today i’m gonna be showing you a roasted brussels sprouts recipe now i grew up not liking brussels sprouts i think a lot of people don’t i mean i used to think they were kind of bitter and it’s like well my mom used to boil them and to be honest i mean she didn’t boil them plain she used to do it with like chicken stock and like whatever still not that great but this roasted brussels sprouts recipe is so good i love to eat it throughout the year forget about the holidays throughout the year it’s so easy and you will pick up on my trend here if you’ve watched my other videos if you haven’t go go watch them go watch all the rest of my videos for the month of december all my holiday recipes are roasted something why because it makes your life easier on the day of christmas you don’t want to be having like multiple things on the stove no you can’t spread yourself like everywhere the only way to get through christmas is to make life easy so things that you can put together in minutes toss in the oven together yes they’ll cook at different times but they all cook at the same temperature so guess what it makes your life easy the multiple racks in your oven just stack them rotate them out whatever it makes life easier believe me so let’s get cooking okay so it’s super simple again you’re gonna need a big baking tray lined with aluminum foil and parchment to make your lives easier um so as you can see i’ve already cut some of these brussels sprouts but i’m going to show you how to clean and trim them okay so to clean your brussels sprouts it’s really easy you just want to trim the bottom a little bit and then whatever leaves that fall off let them fall and then just peel back a couple layers and then we’re just going to cut in half that’s it [Music] [Music] sprout brussels sprout brussels sprouts what i’ve had a long day all right okay super simple once your brussels sprouts are on your pan did i say brussels sprouts i don’t know i’ve been saying brussels sprouts so much i’m like pretzel spout whatever brussels sprouts once you’re done cutting them season so super simple salt pepper balsamic vinegar this is what’s gonna make it taste good and maple syrup because well we live up in canada and if you guys know anything you know we live in the land of maple syrup if you don’t have maple syrup don’t fret use a little bit of honey it’ll work too and then just olive oil regular olive oil and that’s that’s it folks again another super easy recipe and shockingly i’m not using my hands today but you know what you can totally use your hands it’s just that i’ve washed my hands so much i think i have no no skin left so i’m using a spatula just make sure everything gets a good coating of the vinegar and the syrup but honestly if you can use maple syrup it’s the best so again big pan so that you’re roasting your vegetables not steaming your vegetables because that that’s not nice and again roast it at 425 again i’m using convection roast because i think it cooks faster but bake is totally fine so 425 and this probably won’t even take 15 minutes guaranteed maybe 10 to 15 minutes if that so just keep your eye on it and it also it’ll depend on how big your brussels sprouts are but it’ll get caramelized nice and dark and again tender and you’re done that’s it to the oven i go [Music] okay i couldn’t even wait i already started nibbling this took less than 15 minutes in the oven like okay i have to admit brussels sprouts smell like fart right i live in a household full of men boys men whatever i don’t think that needs any further explanation all right but nonetheless this tastes amazing i know you guys might think balsamic vinegar sour what somehow it doesn’t it is like the perfect balance between the maple syrup and the balsamic it’s savory it’s got this odd umami flavor in here and my favorite bits all those leaves that fall off it’s okay because they become crispy bits so good so easy give it a try let me know what you guys think bye [Music] thanks for watching if you like videos like these don’t forget to hit the like and subscribe button and little bell so you get notified every time i put out a new video for full recipes you can always check out my website and don’t forget you can leave your questions and comments below see you next time
