I really enjoy this sweet chilli tteokbokki, because these are expensive for a small amount, I am starting to make my own, BUT, I want to have a sauce that’s similar that I can use. Their sauce kinda quickly sticks onto the pieces and works well.
I’ve tried using other sweet chili sauces and they don’t “work” like the one that comes with the ‘bokki (like their sauce feels like it was made just for this, quickly evaporating and sticking tot he pieces, while regular sauce doesn’t evaporate and doesn’t stick that well) Any suggestions on what I could use or do for a bokki sweet chili sauce?

You’re using wrong type of chili. You need Korean chili paste and powder. Here’s a recipe for the sauce:
3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 1/2 Tbsp raw sugar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
You can buy tteokbokki sauce in bottles.
Yeah like others said, get yourself a tub of gochujang and go nuts! Don’t forget to add an egg or two and fish cakes. Look recipes online, there’s tons and it’s super easy to make and adjust to your taste. You can also add ramyon to the leftover sauce for an extra meal.
