hey everyone welcome back to five minute eats all right guys we have a side dish kind of item for you today possibly if it’s good it might be like a good holiday dinner side dish but it is the tattooed chef cauliflower mac and cheese and it says it contains no pasta so it is a vegetarian thing it doesn’t say that it’s vegan or anything it does have i guess like real cheese in it so just be aware of that and um here’s the thing guys here’s my beef with this already it claims to be cauliflower mac and cheese which i took to mean that the actual macaroni would be like fashioned out of the cauliflower kind of like you do with like cauliflower pizza crust but it’s actually just chopped up cauliflower like little florets of cauliflower so therefore it’s basically just cauliflower with cheese on top it’s kind of similar to the tattoo chef pizza bowl that we had yes it was just big big chunks of cauliflower with some marinara sauce and like uh like a fake pepperoni fake pepperoni yeah i guess they would call it what like beyond meat or you know one of those kind of things but exactly um this one i’m kind of excited about because it’s freaking mac and cheese right yeah the price was what um 10.98 for two trays of this from sam’s and i mean here’s what the tray looked like coming out of the oven it’s not that big and these two portions was pretty much one third and one third of it so i mean it’s it’s not a lot but if the ingredients are good quality then i think the price would be justified so if you guys are new to our channel let’s break it down what we do here so we buy everyday grocery items and we review it we give it a thumbs up or thumbs down so before you spend your hard earned money guys let us tell you if it’s worth it that’s right so there’s only one thing left to do all right guys we are ready yup i’m ready so i will go first our rating system thumbs up or thumbs down for me it is a thumbs down reason is it’s okay it’s mediocre it’s interesting because in some of these items the cauliflower i don’t really care for it but in this one the cauliflower actually is good i like it i like the size of it i think the cheese that they went with is not my cup of tea i don’t really care for it okay so for me this is a thumbs down and like you said i like the cauliflower i feel like they did the cauliflower really well my thing is it has a very strange flavor to it and i think that it’s the cheese but it tastes almost kind of like soured milk or something like something just flew out and hit me in the nose i think it’s the bread crumbs yeah now because let me also bring up to you there’s this is the cheese man it’s like one big piece of it there’s so there’s like a cheese sauce like underneath and then they have like the cheese kind of like layer on top and then there’s bread crumbs on top of that i think the thing is that they went with a strange cheese and i’m not sure which one it is in here but the aftertaste is just really not great and even the taste while you’re eating it it just seems like you’re eating something that’s a little off you know now here’s one thing that i will give them credit for we’ve said in other tattooed chef reviews that there’s no flavor you know like a lot of the items have zero flavor at all i feel like this one is well seasoned like it has a lot of flavor to it but i think that whatever cheese they’re using is either not right like there’s something wrong with it or it’s just a very distinctly um kind of stinky cheese or something yeah we need to add that you’re a big fan of cheese i love cheese you are a big fan of all kinds of cheeses so for you to like not like this i was actually surprised yeah i i expected to love this because i love cauliflower i love cauliflower with cheese on top why not right but this one is just off it’s just off i think this is where tattoo chef goes wrong they’re trying so many different products which you i i kind of like but then i think they’re targeting like high brow kind of people yeah you know what i mean like we’re not so it’s not our thing if you’re high brow you’re gonna love it yeah now i will say this okay just for that comment that we just said dude we were actually at one of yelp’s highest rated restaurants in the country yeah and we paid a lot of money so it was like i think i paid 30 bucks for a hamburger and like a little bit of fries french fries they said it was um yelp’s highest rated restaurant in the country one of them probably one in the top five or something like that yeah because i forget exactly what the billboard said and it was just terrible terrible supremely bad and in my opinion i think a lot of people when they see like oh it’s fancy or something like that their brain gets turned off you know their taste buds get turned off and then they’re like well it’s fancy so it’s really good it’s almost like a placebo effect yes you know you’re being told what to think about it and so then you automatically just think that rather than being like even though i paid 30 for this it’s not good yeah it’s not good but i want to go with whatever is the trend here and the trend is telling me that like it’s uber good so fail yeah so thumbs down thumbs down that’s review guys if you like what we’re doing here definitely definitely definitely give us a like that’s right and before you go remember
