I’m searching for Toronto’s best beef knish. Toronto seems to be the only city I’ve been to, that has a lot of places selling beef knishes. Places like New York and Montreal are all about the spinach or potato knish but in Toronto, it’s all about the BEEF.
Toronto used to have some amazing knish places like Wycliffe Meats near Steeles and Switzer’s restaurant on Spadina but those places have either moved, way up north or closed down. Katz’s Restaurant on Duffrin also makes a good beef knish, as far as I recall.
Does anybody have a suggestion of a place that makes a good beef knish? Forget potato knishes, they just taste like eating a scoop of mashed potatoes, so what’s the point?

made me hungry…
I haven't tried European Delight, but I will. I would highly recommend that you try Yitz's Deli's beef knish… I haven't tried enough of them to comment, but I think about Yitz's beef knish more than I should. Let me know if you ever try them…
Many years ago when Rabbi Stroli partnered in the ownership of where Toronto Kosher is today, they used to sell their knishes filled with mostly kasha. I loved them. Today, they seemed filled with beef and corned beef, also very good. They are round. If you prefer the flat knish, then Hartmans has them, also good. Both places are kosher as well.
Perl's and Stroli's were the best may they rest in peace. How do you make them round and fluffy instead of flat with a thin-skinned crust?
What is the dough in the Toronto Kosher and Marky's knishes?
Switzers had the best knish. I would die to have one again. They are gone now.
Centre st deli was always my go to
I've only had one from Katz's Deli. With gravy it was so good. I think it's time to do a Knish tour.
My favorites were Charlie C's on 1110 Finch Ave Downsview and Pickle Barrel on Leslie Street North York
