Wanted my sons to have a healthy post football practice snack. These truffles are easy to make, taste delicious, and aren’t 3 bags of Doritos.

Recipe:
14 method dates pitted
2 t vanilla extract
1/4 c cocoa powder
1/2 c peanuts
1/2 c sunflower kernels

Add all ingredients to food processor in the order listed. Process on high for 5 mins. Scoop into 1.5 T balls. Flash freeze on parchment paper for 30 mins. Store in fridge for a week or in the freezer for 6 months.

I store each batch in these reusable soup containers.

    they sound delicious and healthy and with that said you are more than entitled to ignore my advice if you and your sons are happy with them, *however* a quick roll in some chocolate sprinkles or crushed peanuts or something may help their presentation, if you catch my drift
