The hot sauce selection at Mary’s Mexican Shop in Nanaimo, BC. TBH I’m new-ish to spicy food and found the huge selection overwhelming enough that I didn’t buy any sauces during this visit.

Well, it’s *most* of their selection. Two more pics were blurry and I didn’t post them.
Anyone have any favorites among the sauces shown? Suggestions?
I’ve got an okay spice tolerance, I think, but don’t want to try anything crazy.

I have yet to find a sauce El Yucateco makes that is bad (haven’t tried some of their new stuff though). And Cholula is always a solid, though not that spicy, sauce.

That’s a good lineup for Nanaimo.
Next time you’re in Vancouver, go to Lucifer’s on Davie just south of Denman. They are basically the West Coast equivalent of Chilly Chiles, great selection and you can sample anything you want to before you buy it.

Hey I’m about to drive through nanaimo! If you live here I’m very jealous. Vancouver Island is a little slice of paradise. We have been visiting from Texas all week.

That La Anita Kut-ik is so fire. I’ve only been able to find it when I go to Mexico once a year.

Buffalo classic is great, not really a hot sauce but rich taste maybe a bit smoky but not really. Def just try it.

Hey u/ICantLeafYou if you’re ever up in Campbell River check out The Scene. They have a reasonable display case and they predominantly stock small batch sauces. Lots of great Canadian brands as well as American brands.
