Ingredients
14oz fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup of cane sugar
1 cup of water
Optional:
Orange Zest
Sub some of the water with orange juice

today I’m going to make homemade cranberry sauce you’ll just need cranberries have about 14 oz a cup of water and a cup of sugar all right so for the first step we’re going to pour the cup of water in a pot add our cup of sugar and we’re just going to mix until the Sugar’s dissolved now we’re going to add in the 14 oz of The Cranberries stir it around a little bit and then we’re going to bring it to a boil and we’re going to simmer it for about 10 minutes until all the Cranberries burst once the water begins to boil just lower the heat and simmer The Cranberries for about 10 minutes this is almost done I’m going to leave on for another minute or so but once all the cranberries have burst uh it’s pretty much done uh they should look something like like this you should notice it’s a little thicker than it was before now we’re just going to put it in another container and let it chill for a few minutes right so I just moved the cranberry sauce to this bowl and then I’m just going to let it sit at room temperature till it’s completely cooled down and then we’re going to put it in the fridge I left it sitting in the other bowl for about 20 minutes or so uh I just moved it to this glass container that I’m going to keep it in and now I’m going to leave it uncovered put it in in the fridge maybe about 10 15 minutes just until it’s completely cooled once it’s cooled down it’s ready to eat I’d really recommend making this instead of buying the canned sauce for the holidays it’s very simple and easy to make you could add orange zest or substitute some of the water with orange juice if you’d like to please leave a like And subscribe for more recipes thanks for watching please

  1. I don't know why anyone doesn't make their own fresh whole cranberry sauce. It's a cold and flu season antioxidant super food and so easy to make. Use orange juice, water and sugar to simmer then hit them with some cinnamon, ginger and all spice. If they're still too bitter or tart add a little vanilla. This is just so festive and healthy not to mention the perfect refrigerator ready appetizer or snack over cream cheese on crackers
