Hi everyone. I usually browse this subreddit but I've never posted before. A while ago my love for coffee shops pushed me to create a website that lists only the best local and specialty coffee shops around the world: Coffee Radar.

I've asked permission to mods of this subreddit to share it with you, and they allowed me to add it in a post (thank you!). If you're interested in this kind of thing and you're a coffee lover, I would love to read your feedback!

On this website you can find coffee shops with very specific filters and, if you want, review them or add the ones you know. Filters aren't only geographic but also based on context. For example there's a filter to find only coffee shops with homemade milk (yes, they exist :D). Or filters to find places with an ocean view, or with fast wifi, or that are laptop friendly or not, etc. etc.

The long term goal is to list enough places to let you find them easily. And, the site will include only unique local coffee shops. Absolutely no generic coffee chains like Starbucks or Costa or similar (these can be found easily on all sorts of apps).

Google Maps and others, in my experience, didn't always help in finding the best local coffee shops whenever we're in a new city or country. Probably because these are generic apps, built for all sorts of places, not just for Coffee Shops. Plus, listings on other sites don't include enough details

On Coffee Radar you can assign a vote to the specific coffee drink when leaving a review. And (optionally, it's not required) add other details that could help other people find that café, stuff like: types of milks served, perceived wifi speed, barista friendliness, and more.

In each listing, depending on what users shared about the location, you can find a list of details, plus a description of the coffee shops generated automatically with real user reviews.

The website currently lists around 400 coffee shops. Not much. I aim to get to add a total of 5,000 locations before the end of the year. I initially added most places, while some users that discovered the site on Google added their own.

The website is https://coffeeradar.io/ and it's 100% free 🙂

In case this is something interesting for you, and you like specialty coffee and coffee shops, I'd love to hear your feedback on what you would like to see included in the website
