Has anyone turned an old BGE base into a flower pot? I’m looking to do that with mine and have plants/flowers all around it.
I’m still figuring out what to plant. I had a holly bush there but when I added the roof for the deck the holly started struggling. The area does get sun but not full sun. I’d guess maybe 1-3 hours of sun and not on the entire area through that span of time. I think a small ornamental tree behind the egg or if all enough maybe in it 🤷♂️
I live in south Alabama (reference for plant recommendations)

I planted a dwarf avocado tree in mine. It’s been a couple years, but still no avocados. I don’t know if it’s because it’s in a pot, or I’ve heard that it can take several years for avocado trees to actually start producing.
Seems like you could get a pot much cheaper?
Yep, I’ve got a citronella plant in mine because I’m fighting off a billion mosquitos in Texas.
