I purchased two pepper seedlings about 4 weeks ago. When they arrived, they were much bigger and more mature than I expected. One was about 12 inches tall and the other about 9 inches, and they had several sets of adult leaves.
They only had small root plugs, so I put them in solo cups with good soil on a heat mat with a light.
After 2 weeks, I tried to start the hardening off process but they have been absolute drama queens in any amount of real sun!
A week ago, I put them in these larger pots which they like very much, but they still hate the sun….
The Buena mulata has grown a bit and opened a flower this morning! What a pretty flower it makes!
The other, a murasaki sweet pepper, is growing well, just a little slower.
I plan to put them in a final, large pot in a few days. Hopefully they will stop hating the sun so much as I don't have room for their full size pots in the house at this time!
