My friend invited me a few days ago, but I went again yesterday for HH and brought some of my friends from Louisiana. Their Saturn is delicious and tart, the Painkillers are absolutely crushable (get the overproof rum float), and their gumbo is great. They are adding a muffuletta to their menu next Monday that is insane. They brought a free one by for me and my buddies as well as a free bowl of gumbo since they heard us talking at the bar about how my friends were from Alexandria. Only complaint is the red beans and rice. It’s pretty mid and I can make a whole pot for the same as they charge for a tiny bowl. I can overlook that for them having a reverse HH from 9-midnight.
I do not work for Lil Easy, Sawyer and Co., or De Nada. I don’t know any of the owners either. This is just a damn good happy hour. $5 frozens, $1 pony boys, and $3 Pacifico drafts is not bad at all.
