#mandyinthemaking

we make a lot of new meals in this house so they can kind of get lost in the shuffle so it’s great once a quarter for us to go back through them and pick our top five from the last three months so that’s what we’re doing today hey y’all I’m Mandy and this is Mandy in the making y’all seem to really enjoy these videos and I enjoy making them because it gives me just a moment to reflect on everything that we’ve made and really figure out what is the top of the top because everything that we share with you is great food but what did we really enjoy the most really quickly I just want to thank Wild Grain for sponsoring a portion of today’s video I’ll tell you more about them later we have been enjoying them for about 6 months now maybe a little more and it’s just lovely to have fresh baked bread that I didn’t have to make from scratch along with some of our favorite meals are you laughing at me laughing I’m always laughing at you you’re so pretty thank you here all right so we’re going to have some best ofu some best of yeah these were the recipes that are on top so we went through and found five that were our favorite and then I had this guy rank them so we’re going to start with number five and we’ll work our way up to number one so without further Ado coming at number five is the copycat Taco Bell chicken quesadillas we made these on The Griddle they were much better than Taco Bell chicken quesadillas but you should make them today we’re going to be making some chicken quesadillas but not just any chicken quesadillas my all-time favorite chicken quesadillas come from Taco Bell I know I know scoff if you must I love them so we’re making copycat Taco Bell chicken quesadillas on The Griddle first things first let’s plug up The Griddle and get it nice and hot before we cook our chicken so I’m going to put it uh medium high let that heat up it heats up very quickly so that’s a good thing I can already feel the heat so I’m going to add some olive oil to our griddle and I’m going to be cooking a lot of chicken tenders because I bought a family pack and I need to go ahead and just cook it all so I’m going to add all of them here you can season them and I may throw a little bit of seasoning on them as they’re here on the griddle they’re already starting to sizzle a little bit um but you don’t have to because the seasoning is going to go in the sauce that we’re going to be making while these are on the griddle recently my favorite seasoning for chicken has been this Goya adobo so I’m going to throw some of that on here and then I also have been loving this seasoning from Trader Joe’s I don’t have a Trader Joe’s in my town but there’s one about a town over and while that starts to cook I’m going to start working on my sauce for our cake videos time for the good sauce which is what makes the Taco Bell chicken quesadillas so good so we’re going to use about a half a cup of mayonnaise I have a cup of sour cream as well it’s almost time to flip this chicken but really quickly let’s add in some of the juice from these pickled jalapenos it says we need about 3 tablespoons of the juice so I’m going to eyeball this one one two three and then we also need some of the pickled jalapenos that we need to chop so let me grab those out and chop those up really quickly okay we need about 3 tablespoons of chopped or diced pick jalapenos so let’s add that into our mixture so we’re going to let that hang out while we finish up the sauce now you can use garlic powder if you want to but I’m just going to use a little bit of minced garlic you only need about a clove so about a teaspoon we need 2 tpoon of cumin 2 tpoon of smoked paprika half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and then it says salt and pepper to taste I’m going to stir this around and try it before I add any salt and pepper I have to say when I first started stirring this did not look appetizing but now it looks better I’m going to dip this Fork into it and try it I ain’t mad at that I feel like it needs something though I think I’m going to add just a little more of this jalapeno juice not a lot I don’t want it to be too runny I added maybe another teaspoon or two we got chicken going on here I did not add seasonings to the other side but that’s okay we don’t really need it let me go grab my thermometer they are not close they are right on the money let let’s turn off our griddle for now and remove these to a plate let’s go ahead and chop up what we’ll need for our quesadillas this smells so good okay I just recently got this from the suggestion I believe her name was Rebecca let me check that yes Rebecca on YouTube left me a comment and told me about this chicken Shredder thingy so I thought I would give it a try I mean I’m always excited to try new Amazon gadgets um but what you do and this is dishwasher safe so that’s kind of cool um and it has anti-slip on the bottom so we’re going to take our chicken and I think you can put a whole chicken breast on here I’m not sure on that uh but we’re going to do we’ll try two chicken tenders to get started and then you press this has got spikes on here you press that down with these handles let me give you a better shot and then you’re supposed to just do turn this left and right and it shreds it and it does just so you know okay that’s pretty that that’s pretty cool let me dump that out that shredded it so well okay well that was really cool now let’s just finish up we need four cups of chicken so let’s do a few more thank you Rebecca for the suggestion because this is just fun all right I’m going to continue on and I’ll be back in just a minute once I have all of the chicken that I need shredded that could not have been easier I will link that down below and I’ll also make sure to have this added to my Amazon store at this point we’re going to add our chicken here to this bowl and then we’re going to add some of the sauce I don’t quite understand the directions on that it just says add some of the sauce not all of it why we made all of it I’m not sure cuz it’s not really a dipping type sauce so whatever but we’re going to add all of our chicken here and some of the sauce and we’re just going to mix it around until it’s good and creamy it is just me and Steven here tonight so I’m just making four kidos cuz we’ll each have two yeah I think that’s good I’m not sure why we needed to make all of that if we weren’t going to use all of that I didn’t make up the recipe I’m just following it here we go okay our Skillet has cooled down just a little bit I’m just coming in here with a scraper and just scraping off any of these Brown bits from where the chicken was cooking let’s throw some quesadillas or some tortillas on here I can probably get three on here and next we’re going to add some cheese I have two different types of cheese I didn’t know which one I was going to use but I’m going to I’m going to use this one first so let’s do a layer of chees cheese that’s some heavy cheese I wasn’t joking when I said that now let’s add our chicken on top of that another layer of cheese on top I’m going to go a little bit lighter on this layer and then another tortilla on top we’re going to let these hang out for just a couple of minutes and then we will flip them not me over here thinking I had the camera rolling and then it made a weird noise cuz it was shutting off because I did not have it recording but I’m starting to flip these carefully very carefully there we go all right so these just need a couple more minutes on this side and then these will be done and I’ll do our last one and then it’ll be time to eat this was very quick and easy okay I believe these are done they look like big pancakes quite honestly tell me they don’t okay let me do our last one and then Steven will join us for a taste test best way to cut quesadillas in my opinion is with a pizza cutter we have to study this for a minute chicken qu Anda yeah Taco Bell [Music] style wow oh my goodness yes that is delicious yay man that’s good whatever you put in this is delicious I’m so glad you like it oh y’all I forgot to tell you I did go back and add a little bit of salt to the um sauce right before I made everything so I did add salt okay wow I’m getting some sort of like a smoky Chipotle sort of flavor going on in there there’s smoked paprika yes cumin that sauce oh my goodness yes Cayenne I get that oh a little spice now too jalapenos so I also added jalapeno juice to the sauce it has all kinds of good stuff wow so are these the best chicken quesadillas I’ve ever made I think so these are delicious I’m so glad man this is really good I’m so proud thanks what an amazing job thanks these are not just regular old chicken cakes de no uh-uh These Are A step above these are Taco Bell way better than Taco Bell dreamed to be I’m hoping so I’m going try it I’ll be right back well I have to say he’s not lying these are better than Taco Bell these are delicious I don’t tell stories now I don’t have my plate in here I did not cut mine up so I just stole one of his and he wasn’t very happy about it there’s two more whole quesadillas in there so never sauce is amazing we have to do something else with that sauce all right well there you have it another meal on The Griddle so easy so quick y’all thought I forgot she does not let us forget Grace she’s been in here begging us for food obviously she couldn’t have the case is hey I’m over here hey I’m over here she can’t hear nothing hey okay there you go we’re happy I love you girl that’s it for now okay I know it’s awful you want some chicken I found some chicken little girl okay there go she’s happy as can be yeah I’m sure most of you love to have some sort of bread with your meals and even better if it’s freshly baked if you aren’t the best baker or if you just don’t have time to make bread from scratch enter Wild Grain Wild Grain is the first ever bake from Frozen subscription box that you can get sourdough bread fresh made pastas and artisanal pastries look there’s subscription boxes for just about everything why not have some wonderful bread come right to your door and by doing that you are supporting small Bakers around the us because Wild Grain sources from the top bakers and pasta makers meaning you are getting the best of the best in your kitchen I love that I don’t have to think about it ahead of time so if I’m making a meal meal and I’m like oh wait a minute I don’t have any bread I can just grab it from the freezer stick it right into the oven and we’ve got fresh baked bread in about 25 minutes or less the fun thing is you get to go in and build your own box so if you just want breads great if you want to throw in some pasta if you want to throw in some pastries have at it another great thing is that they are adding new and seasonal items all the time so when you go into to build your box chances are you’re going to see something you haven’t seen before I love sourdough bread I love the outer crust and then that soft inner part and I’ve thought about making sourdough on my own before but honestly it intimidates me and I just don’t think that I have what it takes so with Wild Grain I get freshly baked sourdough bread and it is amazing every single time they use that slow fermentation process which makes it easier on your belly and richer in nutrients and antioxidants recently we tried some of their chocolate croissants they are so good it’s a croissant but it has that chocolate inside oh my word so delicious we also love their giant chocolate chunk cookies they are they’re giant when you bake them they’re like this big so be sure to go check them out go see what your family might love and if you are new to Wild Grain you can use the link in my description box or use code mandy30 to get $30 off of your first box plus you’re going to get free croissants for the lifetime of your subscription their croissants are just the best they are so buttery so flaky we’ve really been enjoying those two I’ve heard from some of you that you’ve been trying Wild Grain and you absolutely love it and that makes me so happy so be sure to go check it out use code mandy30 to get $30 off your first box plus free croissants for life all right number four my friend that has to be the Korean ground beef stir fry incredible so good and so easy this is Korean ground beef stir fry I’m just going to make some white rice with it and we’re going to make ours a little spicier because that’s what we like we are going to get started by using some fresh cloves of garlic I need to peel them really quickly and we’re just going to mince them into this bowl here I don’t know that that is working oh yeah it did perfectly the recipe says to use about five or six cloves of garlic which you know that made my little heart Happy we’ve got that done let’s move on I’m just going to chop up this little head of broccoli and I’m making these pieces pretty small now I was really hoping to find at my grocery store the already shredded carrots but they were out so I’m just going to have to do that myself which is not a big deal so this particular peeler has two sides so we’ll just peel it first with this side that’s the side I just used now we’re going to go with this side I’m pretty sure that’s how that works so let’s see oh yeah look it did three little shreds you see that that was easy and now we’ve got this red bell pepper I’m just going to oh look I’m going to just cut it said about half of a large red bell pepper that’s probably about right so this needs to be diced as well so I’m going to do that really quickly look how pretty this is all the pretty colors the last thing we need to do is just cut up a little bit of this onion this is a huge onion we do not need the whole thing I’m going to chop up just about this [Music] much we are done chopping all the things with the exception of some green onion but I’ll chop that in a little bit because that goes on at the end so let’s move over to the stove top I’ve got the skillet over there heating up while I do that let’s make the sauce we’re just going to whisk it here in this bowl I need a thir of cup of brown sugar there we go now we need A3 of cup of reduced sodium soy sauce you know what we’re going to do a little more than a third of cup because we’re going to do a little extra sauce who do who do I think I am I always double the sauce I’m going to do a little more but not quite double it so let’s add that in there which means I need to put just a little more brown sugar okay we need rice vinegar it says a tablespoon and a half which is probably about all I have so I’m just going to dump this in here because that was even probably a tablespoon what can I use instead of rice vinegar regular vinegar we’re going to substitute the rest of that vinegar for white wine vinegar okay that’s plenty thank you we need 1 tablespo of toasted sesame oil so I did a little more than a tablespoon half a teaspoon of ground ginger you know what no I don’t want to do ground ginger I want to do Ginger paste it’s so appetizing looking when it goes in and then however much of this you want if any at all okay so I added in [Music] probably uh 3/4 of a teaspoon maybe of that we like we like a little bit of heat so let me get my whisk and we’re just going to whisk all of this together and leave it over here and just set it to the side now let’s go to the stove top my Skillet is heated to about medium high I’m adding a little bit of olive oil this is lean ground beef that we’re adding in so we just need to Brown this up I’m starting my rice over here and some chicken broth now we’re going to add our onions in with this okay this is almost completely browned so I’m going to go ahead and add in our garlic lots of garlic and the rest of our veggies all of this is going to go in and cook with this for a few minutes okay this has been cooking about 2 or 3 minutes now let’s let’s add in the yummy sauce and we’re going to let this cook for 3 to 5 minutes kind of reducing down and then it’ll be time to eat so this has reduced down a good bit it’s been about 3 minutes or so so we just turned this off and I’m going to pop the lid on it because my rice is not quite done which is right here we’ve still got about 7 minutes on that so once that timer goes off it’ll be time to eat what do you think I think it’s going to be good cuz it smells delicious and it looks good too pass the nose test and it pass the eye test Cole’s already had a bite and he said it was wonderful so that’s good oh Ginger little bit of sweetness there a little pop of spice now from the red pepper flate yes soy sauce with brown sugar magical things happen especially with that garlic infused in there oh yeah oh yeah well you’re making it look my mouth is watering I need is delicious okay I’ll be back y’all I’ll be back y’all need to make this that’s this is good I love you I love it when you laugh and you shake the whole house shakes stop I get that from my mama and my grandmother oh man my grandmother there she laughed silently and just shook I definitely am not silent but this is absolutely delicious well I’m so happy this is where it gets tough right the top three are always so hard uh especially two and three because these could easily just I I they have to pass the test right and the test is which one would I want now oh right today so that that was your number one then the clear answer here yeah the clear answer there he knew immediately what number one was but number two and three he struggled a little bit so coming in at number three is the alfredo chicken bacon bake there you go it’s got alfredo sauce it’s got chicken it’s got bacon that sauce Superior yes yeah really good so good need to try it you know what I love alfredo sauce and chicken and bacon let’s combine them together this is an alfredo chicken bacon bake first things first preheat the oven to 350 okay the first thing we’re going to be doing is frying up some bacon but we need to chop it up into little pieces so that’s what I’m doing here I’ve got about four pieces of bacon this is center cut bacon it doesn’t matter what kind you have let’s take this over to a skillet on the stove okay so let’s just add that in here and we’re just going to let that brown but while that starts let’s go back over and cut up our chicken I need to split my chicken breasts because they’re rather thick okay so I split two of them one of them is not thick so that’s done let me wash my hands and we’ll move on to the next step we need to dice this red pepper this way they’re all exactly the same [Applause] size why you why you going to do me like that sir okay whatever that’s more like it beautiful and then lastly all I need to do is just chop up this parsley this will be for the end let me to go check on that bacon it’s sounding good over there it’s also smelling good okay just a couple more minutes on this the bacon was done so I drained or not drained it put it over here I did leave the drippings and we are going to pop our red onion no red pepper in here and we’re just going to let this cook for a couple of minutes while that cooks I’m going to season our chicken breast with a little bit of salt and pepper I’m going to to remember to take that off the other day I forgot to do that and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my pepper why it wouldn’t come out it helps if you take the lid off these have been cooking for a couple of minutes let’s remove it out with a slotted spoon to a bowl you don’t want them super soft I think the recipe says crisp tender so kind of in that in between now to the same Skillet let’s add our chicken we’re going to let it cook on this first side for about 4 minutes all right let’s turn these over it’s been about 2 and 1/2 minutes let these cook for another couple of minutes on this [Music] side are you aware of something you are I know princess I know I know I know babe did you fall over there we go little woman our chicken is done for now it’s going to finish in the oven but let’s mix together a few of our ingredients so when you take your bell pepper from the stove into a bowl put it in a medium siiz Bowl because I’m having to transfer mine because this bowl wasn’t big enough we’re going to add about A4 a cup of basil pesto a 15 oz jar of alfredo sauce just whichever one you want and a half a cup of chicken broth which I’m I’m going to pour in here and I’m going to put the lid on it and shake it around and that’ll just get all the Alfredo sauce out of there there we go all right let’s mix that together now you see why I needed a bigger bowl okay that smells good all right let’s put that to the side it says to use a 9×13 dish this one is a little bit bigger than 9×13 but it’ll get the job done I’m we’ll spray it with a little non-stick spray and we’re going to add our chicken breasts to the bottom keep in mind these are not done you’re not cooking them all the way through on the stove top cuz this going to bake for 30 minutes so they will be done by the end then we’re just going to pour this mixture over top of our chicken okay we do need to cover this so I’m going to grab some aluminum full okay this is going in a 350° oven for about 30 minutes till it’s nice and bubbly and our chicken is cooked through there we go so the chicken is almost done and ready to come out of the oven for us to move on to the next step but I have some broccoli steaming on the stove once the chicken comes out I’m going to uncover it and make sure that it has come up to temperature and the chicken is completely cooked and then I’m going to add about a half a cup to a cup of mozzarella cheese on top and put it back in the oven for 5 more minutes uncovered now that it is out of the oven we are going to top it with our chopped bacon and our fresh parsley and y’all this smells amazing we cannot wait to dig in so for some reason our microphone decided not to work during this part but this is Steph enjoying the meal he said it definitely had a little bit of a herb flare to it which is that pesto peeking through he loved it Cole also gave it a thumbs up um they both just wanted to drink the sauce they also loved the bacon flavor the bacon flavor is definitely throughout because we cooked all of the veggies and the chicken we kind of brown the chicken in the bacon grease the bacon flavor is definitely there this is so good you got that Herby garlicky bacony buttery cheesy flavor garlicky go away so the guys are already done with their meal and I’m almost finished with mine do not let this sauce go to waste this would be a really great dish to make a side of pasta with you could do some orzo or any type of pasta really and just cover it in that sauce because there’s so much sauce oh my word it’s so good I could drink the sauce all right coming in at number two two Yep this was in our uh video where we said you don’t have to have a grill to have great summer barbecue food that’s right so we decided to do barbecue in the oven and these were the baked barbecue chicken thighs and y’all we really stepped up that barbecue sauce by putting in Chipotle chipotle peppero sauce yes exactly oh my word the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever made wow hands down I mean if you’re trying to get that Smoky flavor without the grill yeah Chipotle yeah is amazing yep all right all right check that one out this first recipe are chicken thighs we are using boneless skinless chicken thighs and we are going to do baked barbecue so first we’re going to preheat our oven to 425 and you need to line a large baking sheet with some aluminum foil and then put a metal rack over top of it let’s start by making our sauce we’re going to go over to the stove and use this sauce pan heating it on low heat and adding all of our good ingredients first we’re going to add in one cup of ketchup and I have to know Hines or hunts it I can’t I can’t do hunts it has to be hind we need a half a cup of brown sugar you want a tablespoon and a half of unfiltered apple cider vinegar a couple of teaspoons of the dub sauce 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 teaspoon of onion powder 1 teaspoon of paprika and a couple of teaspoons of chili powder we’re going to add in about a teaspoon of salt and about 1/4 teaspoon of C freshly cracked black pepper so at this point you just want to whisk all of this together and if you’re following the recipe that’s all you do here but you know a lot of times we don’t follow the recipe exactly like it says so we have a little secret ingredient going in we’ve got some chipotle peppers and Adobo sauce Steven chopped these up this was his idea this is going to make this barbecue more of a Smoky Barbecue and that’s just our preference so it’s up to you you don’t have to do this obviously but we’re adding that in we’re going to increase the heat to about medium just a little bit more we want this to come up to a simmer okay we have come up to a little simmer here so what we’re going to do is just turn this back down to like medium low and what we’re wanting to do is let the sugars dissolve so this will just take a few minutes but we’re going to let this hang out here all of our sugars have dissolved y’all I just did a little taste test to this and it’s amazing we need to reserve about 34 a cup of this this for serving later so this is all we’re going to need to toss our chicken this is going to be for serving so it looks like a lot it looks like it’s not going to work out but it should so we’ve got boneless skinless chicken thighs and I’m just going to just put a little bit of salt you’re only going to do a total of about another teaspoon of salt we’re just putting that on top let’s throw these in here and we’re going to Salt this other side okay now kind of awkward angle here we’re going to put about half a cup of this in here and we’re going to toss the chicken in it you don’t want to use all of that because you are going to baste your chicken about halfway through oh my gosh I wish I could smell this now let’s take these and place them on the wire rack these are going in at 4:25 on this middle rack for about 15 minutes and then we will flip them and base them so we’re going to take our remaining bar barbecue sauce and just come in and baste these and then we’re going to flip them and base them again okay these are going back in for 15 more minutes it’s been 15 more minutes our kitchen smells amazing we’re going to switch this over to Bro broil we turned it over to broil going to be broiling it we bro the last little bit of reserved sauce is going on and then we’ll pop it under the broiler Royal and just let it kind of crisp up there at the end for like four or 5 minutes and then we’re done y’all oh man this chicken just falling apart is it yeah didn’t need no knife didn’t need no knife didn’t need no knife all right here we go dip mine in the sauce MH wow oh man that is the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever had at home no doubt about that very Smokey out of this world I don’t think y’all understand just how good this barbecue sauce is that chicken is so tender it is you won’t get tender like this with with white meat I’m sorry to tell you no you w I know there’s a lot of white meat fans out there I’m white meat man too white I’m a white meat fan too but you are not going to get tender no like this no that chipotle pepper that we put in there mhm takes this up several notches M sweet Savory Smokey and then I made some mac and cheese I’ve made it this way a couple of times now ever since I had that video on Vita cheese and we had some extra Vita in the house I’ve been making mac and cheese this way I will link the recipe below since I didn’t show you but it is so good and it’s so quick and easy so much better than just the boxed stuff making messes over here that was weird somebody slowed down in front of our house and then look you got some barbecued chicken for me this mac and cheese it comes together in like 20 minutes it’s so fast the perfect side with this as well mhm so you don’t need a grill you can do this in your kitchen now gron using your oven does heat up the kitchen but if you don’t want to use your if you don’t have a grill or you don’t want to go out and Grill this is a great option coming in at number one that’s right and that has to be the air fryer sesame chicken y’all first of all I mean it wins in every category first of all easy everything it’s made in the air fryer exactly so it’s not going to heat up your kitchen number two It’s Made In The Air fryer you would never guess that this came out of the air fryer no you would not it is the best sesame chicken I think I’ve ever had so was good it was amazing I I just couldn’t believe it came have an air fryer like I said it wins in so many different categories it was easy delicious has that authentic Asian flavor that I crave all the time all the time so if if out of these five that would be the one that I’d want to eat today for sure but unfortunately we’re not making it today we’re headed to church in a little while for a big cookout which is great too but he was like this would be my number one for sure so check this one out let’s make another summer friendly recipe this one is going to be using air fryer and we are making sesame chicken I’ve got some rice on the stove that’s already going you can make sesame chicken on the stove top but we’re going to be making it in the air fryer today let’s get started by getting about 3 tblspoon of corn starch into this large bowl we’re going to add some salt about a/4 of a teaspoon the same amount of pepper about a half a teaspoon of garlic powder and about a half a teaspoon of paprika so let’s just kind of mix that around now I’ve got six chicken thighs boneless skinless I trimmed them up and then I cut them into bite-sized chunks so that’s what this is this is going directly in here with the cornstarch so let’s just toss this around and get them all good and coated you know if you would have told me all that that 3 tablespoons of cornstarch would have covered all of this chicken I had my doubts but look at that it did its job let me grab some olive oil you’re going to put about 3 tablespoons of olive oil all over this and we’re going to toss it again you want it to get kind of sticky and just all really coated really well in the olive oil okay that looks pretty good something I should have already done was preheat the air fryer we’re going to preheat it well I wanted to do to 375 but we’ll do to 370 this is nice and hot I’m going to spray it with a little bit of oil just so nothing sticks too bad and let’s dump our chicken straight in there kind of spread it around this is going to cook at 375 for 15 to 18 minutes you want to shake it up several times during that time to make sure it’s all evenly cooking but we’ll check on it here in a little bit okay you know I preach to double the sauce the good thing about this recipe is this recipe was made for the air fryer it was remade for the air fryer and the author realized that she needed to double the sauce so she’s already doubled it in the recipe for us so you don’t have to double it just make it as is on the recipe we need a tablespoon and a half of sesame oil and I’m putting it in this large bowl because we’re going to be tossing the chicken in with the sauce here in just a little bit we’re going to add in about a teaspoon of garlic powder 1 and 1/2 tbsp of rice vinegar we need 3 tbsp of honey I don’t quite have 3 tablespoons don’t quite have is that right did I say that right I don’t have quite three tablespoons left in this but I’ve got another one that we’ve opened not too long ago I’m actually just going to eyeball this we need about 3 tbspoon of the sweet chili sauce 4 tbspoon of ketchup we need about 3 tbspoon of brown sugar so I’m just going to eyeball that that should be good so the recipe calls for 3 t tablespoons of light soy sauce and 3 tbsp of dark soy sauce we just have one kind so we’re going to go with 6 tbsp of this okay you could definitely do this on the stove top if you wanted to but her recipe says just use a microwave safe bowl and we’re just going to stick it in the microwave for 3 minutes I’m not going to do that quite yet though because our chicken’s not quite ready but that does remind me we need to go toss the chicken how many times have you said Qui I don’t quite don’t quite quite quite yet quite ready have I said quite a lot I think so yeah quite a lot I’ve said quite quite a lot quite Qui [Music] quio shake shake shake shake shake shake shake that chicken shake your chicken hey said you know what what this needs it needs green onion I said I was planning on doing that he said I’ll do it he just loves to [Music] chop ooh it’s looking good let’s shake it one more time our rice is done too so a very sweet subscriber made me this kitchen scarf believe her name is Linda and you can use it as a towel or as a pot holder and I’m going to use it as a PO holder right now we’re just going to take that off the heat and let it hang out until we’re ready to eat so let’s take our sauce and pop it in the [Music] microwave 3 minutes let’s check our chicken oh my goodness look how crispy that is that looks good it should be good and done we’re going to check it just to make sure though look how handy this kitchen scarf is oh that’s nice and hot now we’re just going to pour our chicken directly in here and coat it see what I mean about extra sauce there’s plenty to pour over your rice as well we’re going to take some of these green onions and throw in here and we’ll reserve some for the top of our Dish as well gosh y’all I wish you could smell this where is smell a vision when you need it we’ve also got some sesame seeds let’s pour some on there now and then we’ll also top it with that too oh my gosh I could eat this whole thing by myself I think oh this looks delicious okay we ready we’re ready I am ready too that’s a touchdown a field goal home run Grand Slam that is amazing I’m so glad that is tremendous that tastes just like sesame chicken our sun said is amazing too I think it’s better than that we’ve been getting it’s so the both of them have tried got it I’ve yet to try it sweet a little bit of spice not much yeah it’s you definitely get that sweet Savory flavor yeah little bit of nutty kind of flavors in there because of the peanut oil and the sesame seed mhm but yeah this is absolutely perfect it is hard to believe that this was made in an air fryer I don’t know why I should be surprised every time we cook with the air fry it’s like a home run I know so now coal is taking my food there’s more in there if you want some my Cole has tried it and loves it hey B he tried it while he was standing up and he just about fell down mhm and then now he loves it so let’s see if I think the same thing yeah right new fave oh my gosh and it’s made with the thighs this is the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had mhm yeah the breading is done perfectly yeah sometimes the breading can be kind of chewy or a little tough when I’ve gone to restaurants the breading has been that way that is not this way yeah because they usually when the restaurant it’s like overly breaded I going say overly bread it’s just it’s got more breading on it that you notice with this it’s not like that but there’s still a little bit of texture there though yeah there’s a little bit of that crispiness but you know it’s been toned down since it’s been tossed in the sauce mhm but it’s Perfection that is delicious and the thighs if you did this with anything else be a way different experience wow we got two thumbs up over here he’s just he’s in heaven mm mhm yeah this is delicious wow wow wow wow sweet with a little bit of tart from the probably the rice vinegar and the ketchup you know and everything there mhm really good you wouldn’t know this had ketchup in it this was so easy as well it took 20 25 minutes total That’s my kind cooking mhm all right this is a great summertime meal because you’re making it in the air fryer not heating up the whole kitchen love it anything interesting you want to do for the closing [Music] out 1. I have a air fryer that has shelves with wire , I would do the bbq chicken in that instead of the oven, so to not heat up the kitchen

  2. I definitely can see why these are favorites.. I had the last one already written down from the original video 😊

  3. Well, four out of five recipes were chicken! I'm happy with that as my family are big chicken lovers. That oven BBQ chicken looked so good. That may be the first for me. Also, I moved to the South, from the North, about 9 years ago and have learned to serve and love mac and cheese as a side for so many things!

  4. The Taco Bell quesadilla that I have ate never had that much chicken on them. I think that is why yours were so good. I will have to try these!

  5. I'm highly allergic of jalapeños n u always use them tell me something I can replace for those I luv watching ur videos I luv seeing the luv u n Steven have for one another

  6. I couldn't find the link for the mac n cheese. Your Velveeta video doesn't make mac n cheese. Thanks! Loved this episode.

  9. I work at Taco Bell and those definitely look better than ours. 😂😂. That sauce looks right. It is creamy jalapeño sauce on them. Love your recipes and videos Mandy!! ❤️
