It’s looking like about 500 bucks and the owner said it had a small grease fire. Would this still be worth buying?

We’ve noticed that recent changes in Reddit’s algorithms have made it harder for original content (OC) communities like ours to get the visibility we used to enjoy. This shift means that posts and comments aren’t getting the attention they deserve.

  2. You can get another brand and perfectly good pellet grill for 500 brand new id pass

I don’t think I would buy any used pellet grill. They really don’t behave well if they have been neglected. Buy what you can afford new and learn the ropes while you decide if you want to save for an upgrade in a handful of years.

Passing on that price. Lots of new and good options out there around that price point

Max I would pay for an used grill is 100 if it’s in great condition

  6. The Ironwood isn’t really much better build quality-wise than a Z-Grill or Pit Boss. If $500 is your budget, I’d buy one of those.

You can get a brand new Traeger Pro-22 for $500 at HD. Looks like a nice grill, and I wouldn’t even worry about the grease fire, as long as the auger and control board are still working. The price just seems steep. I’d probably give $250 max.

Nah, not a great price and you can pretty obviously see the grease fire aftermath.

That’s a no for me dawg

If $500 is your budget head to Walmart and grab a new PitBoss Austin XL, I prefer mine of my old treager, plus it’s far bigger cooking space and the hopper capacity is insane on the Austin.

If you don’t need that big there are smaller for cheaper too.

Treager is a premium brand name but from my experience the quality is similar to pitboss.

  10. I bought a new competition series CS1250 Pit Boss for that price. No. Don’t waste your money on a used Traeger.

That’s like a $1300 smoker. I have it the exact one. I’d say it’s in good shape for 500$ your can replace the rusted plate easy and that’s not even necessary I’d say good buy!
