  1. Most of the idea's of British food being bland came from WW2. With rationing and distrupted supply lines, the food was pretty basic.

  2. It's important to note that people change, and as they evolve in their lives, so would their preferred content. I've been Sonny's subscriber for years, after I was hooked with the beauty videos. Now, the content creators I subscribed to have a cacophony of information to offer. In short, YT viewership matures and evolves. People's likes will change eventually, and content creators just have to go along with that change without sacrificing the quality and the message that your channel stand for.

  3. I found Sonny and his vids through the factory series–they were fun to watch, and as a fellow Midwest Expat I love his show. 😀

  4. Best Food Review show has become stagnant honestly. Sonny def has high production values, but I guess for me the story isn’t at interesting. When where they’ll be the next Bourdain, maybe never.

  5. That is most likely the best, "What's the one thing people should try and cook at home at least once?", answer that has ever been given. I regularly go to my local Asian market, find an ingredient I don't recognize, and buy it without any checking. Then I go home and research it and find a dish it can be used in that strikes my fancy and then cook that.

  6. Off the back of Sonny’s rec why don’t you guys do a video on a deep dive on the foods you can get at a Chinese supermarket in the UK!!!!

  7. Thanks for this interview! Absolutely love the behind the scenes and insights. Sonny is the goat.

  8. Sonny is my favorite food reviewer ever because he is so real. He’s not afraid to admit his trashy taste. Trashy food tastes good, period.

  9. So I was very reticent to watch this video. I used to love Sonny. And then he went to Egypt. He hated it. He got stuck with corrupt policemen and the government. So my mind agrees with him. But, being a dual citiizen – Egyptian-American, my soul cried out and was hurt.

@Sonny, I'm so sorry and embarrassed with everything you experienced in Egypt. I wish your contact wasn't such an incompetent person.

Egypt is full of corruption. We all experience it. If you would ever reconsider going back, I would hook you up with no-BS egyptians that will let you experience the best of our country.

I'm from Alexandria- some of the BEST seafood in Alexandria. I've lived in Cairo for 10 years, and I can tell you there are amazing places.

It actually might a great video, where we bring you food in your hotel from the best places in the country.

Being an Egyptian-American….. Well Egypt has Sisi, and no doubt we are in for another 4 years of Trump. I apologize to all my American friends, the USA is becoming Egypt.

  10. I love Sonny so much, he cracked the code as an internet creator. He is so humble, likeable, creditable, real and funny as u can get. <3

  11. Sonny explores all the taboo/no-no foods/topics that most other creator wouldnt. And tbe internet respect him for it. Because he know, how it would be projected to his audience, but he explains the cultural importance and significance of it, in such a way that its morally acceptable.

  12. Go to Scandinavia Sonny, at some point soon. <3 Mark Wiens did it, already D: In Copenhagen u'd complete a 100$ challange, no problem D:
