Hi!

I recently gone to a korean restaurant and they served me those banchans, the ones I’d like to know their ingredients are the onion one and the salad, those were with a korean “sauces” with I think was soy sauce and sesame oil, but I don’t know what else. The sauces were a bit sweet too.
I really liked them and I’d love to make my own if possible to dip things like meats or fishes.

Thanks!

leaving my comment here cause i also wanna know specifically what the onion one is

  2. where is this? I’m getting weird vibes from the arrangement of bowls and everything. It’s so non-korean and yet the food seems korean. like metal spoons for the sauces??

anyway, the left one is marinated onion or smth like that. Im assuming it was soy-based but fairly sweet and savory? its for dipping the grilled meat. the one on the right just looks like a salad to me.

No hate to OP as this sub is generally kind about providing explanations for questions like this, but I see posts like this a lot and I always wonder why does no one just ask one of the servers or ajummas what it is when they are at the restaurant? I’m sure they would happily tell you
