Per the ad it's free and works, just clearly was left out to rust.

Is it worth the headache to sand and refinish?

    We Need Your Help!

We’ve noticed that recent changes in Reddit’s algorithms have made it harder for original content (OC) communities like ours to get the visibility we used to enjoy. This shift means that posts and comments aren’t getting the attention they deserve.

By voting on and commenting on posts, you’re not only helping others but also boosting the visibility of your own posts. Your engagement is crucial, not just for r/PelletGrills, but for all the wonderful niche communities like food, crafts, art, and culture that thrive on original content. Even a simple comment like “This would fit X sub” can make a big difference.

Together, we can support and uplift our entire community. Let’s keep the positive vibes and delicious smoked meat content flowing!

if you have the time to do it im sure you could get a few years out of it. but the inside was probably never clean and why it caught on fire

That thing 100% went up in big flames. The whole thing could be cooked and it wasn’t a good grill to begin with. If you can wait a few weeks, Pitboss does mega clearances on their grills. Easy to find 50% off, some people even get 70-80% off especially on floor models from Lowes and similar stores

It wasn’t left to rust. It was left to die after a massive fire. Big pass.

  5. Rust is one thing, but any time something that has electronics has been on fire…you have no idea of the circuit board warped, if shielding melted off wires creating ANOTHER fire hazard…

    There’s deals out there.

Thanks everyone who weighed in – definitely put blinders on and didn’t realize it was likely fire damage and not just rust/maltreatment. Will pass on this one!

That thing needs to be given to a metal scrapper.
