    I’ve been trying a couple of recipes lately and this is the BEST so far! **Total Carbohydrates**: 10.4g per serving! It yields 10 servings.

    Full recipe here: [https://www.alicedias.com/edible-keto-cookie-dough/](https://www.alicedias.com/edible-keto-cookie-dough/)

    **Ingredients**:

    * 1 cup almond flour;
    * 1/4 cup butter, softened;
    * 1/4 cup sweetener (such as erythritol or monk fruit sweetener);
    * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract;
    * 1/4 teaspoon salt;
    * 2 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut cream;
    * 1/4 cup sugar-free chocolate chips.

    **Instructions**:

    1. Mix dry ingredients;
    2. Add wet ingredients;
    3. Fold in chocolate chips;
    4. Let chill in the fridge for 30 minutes;
    5. EAT!

    Let me know your thoughts and send me a picture if you try it! 😋

    I find sweeteners dangerous for low carb diets in general, because they trigger an insulin response. They can in effect shut off fat burning and lead potentially to doing all kinds of mistakes like not metabolizing fat as well and being led to unnecessarily more protein or more carbs.

    **edit: I see the downvotes come before the discussion (not very ketogenic or scientific or honest of you).**

    Here are a couple of sources on sweeteners causing an insulin response: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7014832/

    On Stevia causing it: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27141265/

    Basically insulin takes the sugar and stores it as fat (the basic “Gary Taubes” stuff everyone knows) (those studies incorrectly conclude by the way that “it’s good because it lowered sugar on diabetics”(it’s very bad (they’re wrong (it stored it as fat))).

    I’d probably eat the entire batch.
    I have the same problem with keto ice cream bars: one package=one night.
