Thoughts on using a vintage tanker desk for an egg table? I would put it on casters, lower the drawer (maybe need two desk to keep the faces & aesthetic). Even the minis have a 21” center, large enough for the egg to drop through. Metal surface preferred for the surface, these are just examples.

I’d like to see the final product
If you don’t have a table and think that buying a table at this time is too expensive….then absolutely buy yourself a piece of used furniture such as this and experiment—absolutely!!!
Use it to learn at what height to you prefer your cooking surface to be. How much counter space, or just the fact of having counter space, do you like? Are drawers or compartments helpful to you? How does something this size fit aesthetically near your home or patio?
We all know the positive result of having a permanent bottle opener next to your Egg and that alone has got to be worth the $50 you’ll pay for your used desk, credenza, or whatever.
Gives me flashbacks of having to move these old desks in the 90’s on my summer job at a school.
Bottom left especially. My back!
