My sister says I should have watered more and that these [sweet 100s] should have gotten bigger before starting to ripen. What say you guys?

Super sweets for me have always been the size of about a penny. Maybe a few larger. I’ve grown other large grape cherries that have more flesh. They look fantastic. Super sweet vs grape vs slicer.
We’re zone 6 and have had heat waves followed by heavy rains. Now I’m fighting against blight 🤦♀️

They look perfect. Any more and the skin would have cracked. I like to pick them fully ripe if I can. But usually end up picking them at the light orange color some of yours have if it’s going to be raining. They always crack easily once they turn fully red

Sweet 100 is a cherry tomato variety. You can’t make cherry tomatoes become slicing size tomatoes by letting them grow. That’s like saying if you’d left those peaches on the tree longer and watered them more, you’d have cantaloupe.

They look great. I waited too long to pick mine and a heavy rain caused them all to crack 😢, need to pay more attention next time

I have 3 pots of SS100. One started from seed and planted in a 20″ pot. The other 2 from seedings and planted in 18″ pots. The fruits are very different in sizes among the three. Smallest for the one in large pot but it is the tallest and have many branches. Biggest one from one of the 18″ pot with also many branches and tall. The remaining one has fruits with in between sizes. The are 0.65″-1.1″ diameter when started turning yellow.
