The ice packs in my box this week exploded before I even got them, resulting in a SOAKED box and all of the ingredients being covered in the gel. I talked to customer service and they gave me $15 credit and told me I could wash off the produce with baking soda or apple cider vinegar and it would still be good even though the packaging of the ice pack says not for human consumption.
Am I still okay to eat my meals if I wash off every ingredient? Or should I try calling back and getting my box comp’d?

The pack and box, no. 😉 Just make sure the rest is rinsed so it doesn’t have any residue.
Yes, you can still eat the cold pack but it needs a lot of salt.
If all the ingredients are covered in gel, I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable eating it. I’d call again and ask for a full refund for the whole box.
When you call back tell them you want a refund. Not credit. You’ll never be able to use those credits or if you do it’s a hassle. I always tell them to refund the original payment account and don’t take the credits even if the credit is more, due to coupons used.

My first box ever had an opened ice pack. I just washed everything off and it was fine
Says right on the ice pack that it’s non-toxic, just fyi.

Just wash the stuff
Ask them. I’ve never had a problem getting immediate assistance through the app.
It will be absolutely fine, but tell them you’re not happy with just a discount and you’ll be throwing the food. The about of discounts they do, if you word it correctly, they will refund you. Enjoy your free food.
