Nostalgia is hard to beat.
My Hometown isn’t amazing by any means, but 30 years of eating there has made one of my very favorites.

Home-made and local pizza are always the best. Either one just can’t be beat.

I just ate dinner 20 minutes ago, am full of pot-roast and taters, saw this picture, and now out of NOWHERE my body is like “…I’ve found room in my belly if you give me THAT pizza…”

Bless. Definitely enjoy it. Our local Greek place had some awesome pizza but closed down this year.. He said he wouldn’t trust his sons to run it and he spent the last six years looking for someone else that would take it over and do it right, but didn’t find anyone. Man decided it was enough and is moving with his wife back to Greece where the rest of his family still is. His winter half price days and free Thanksgiving meal day will be sorely missed by a lot of the lower income ppl here for sure.. The Chinese place is going to take those over tho, so that’ll help.

My hometown has a pizza place that I absolutely love. Have never had any place come close. I get it twice a year when I travel to see my family. Whenever I arrive I go straight to the pizza place.

That piece of crust at like 9 to 11 o’clock on the pizza is glorious

I think the pizza that you grew up with is almost always a person’s favorite pizza. There are so many great memories eating there with friends and family that you might over remember how good the pizza was. Not to say that the pizza is not great, it’s just that the data is skewed by our minds.

For real I thought this and always put it on a pedestal.
Went back recently and it was complete and utter trash. Not only that but I could see that it hadn’t really changed.
