Don’t make me choose.. why not both!

Can’t get enough of Korean food. But honestly, neither.
Korean beer has gotten better over the years, so give me a Jeju Wit Ale.

Makkgeoli…I could drink plain or any flavor 24/7.
However, craft soju is a beautiful thing and I do love it. Green bottle soju is only for somek. Hahaha

I love vodka but dislike soju.
makgeolli for me all the way.
That is unless we’re drinking heavily which would default to Soju.

Soju is for “serious talk” drinking. Makgeolli if you want to last longer.

Makgeolli FTW!
I’ve tried non-flavored soju and just don’t enjoy it. To me it’s just like taking a shot of bad alcohol. That sweetness that the KDramas and influencers talk about, I just don’t taste it, UNLESS they are talking about the flavored ones. That grape one is super sweet but tastes so fake. Nah, give me makgeolli any day of the week. That’s my jam.
…and the chestnut one?! So, so, so delicious!

I appreciate pairing soju with meaty food. It helps with getting the fat from meat out of your pallet. When I first tried it, I was surprised with how well it pairs!

I love cheap makgeolli, but I had some of the artisan, traditional stuff last year and I don’t know how I will live until I can get some again.

Distilled soju is better

Makkgeoli never sat well with me.

Soju, with beer even better.
I am still not super hyped by the banana-like flavor of makkgolli

Hite & Jinro, please. My American preference is Budweiser & Jim Beam, so I think it’s essentially on-brand.

Makgeolli not only tastes good but can be fermented at home, like it a lot. But I have to vote for soju because it is my favorite.
