I have three of these Steakstones and I’m going to try them instead of buying a soapstone.

Has anyone tried them before? I’ve used them to cook steak on after heating up. You have them at your table and just throw your raw steak on them and cook with the heat they retain.

I’m thinking I could just leave them on the KJ and use them as you would a soapstone.

  1. I can’t see why not. They’re designed to cook meat so must be relatively impervious. And they’re designed to be heated up sufficiently to sear meat.
    Have at it I say😊

I’d certainly give it a try before buying a soapstone. Not much to lose. I love my soapstone, but this might work just as well

I searched and it says a steak stone is soapstone.
