I made this super cute strawberry lemonade macaron cube for a friend’s birthday and it came out great and tasted awesome. I used lemon buttercream with strawberry jam in half of them and strawberry buttercream with lemon curd in the other half. When the buttercream cream was refrigerated, it firmed up and handled really well. My question is what other types of fillings would this with work well with? Bonus points, if those fillings are cottage friendly!

What state are you in? We can’t know if something is cottage food friendly without that lol. American buttercream is perfectly fine in my state but not in, like, Florida.

Either way you could do a water ganache, thick caramels, or marshmallow. Not a ton of great options but with marshmallow you could probably get away with peanut butter & powdered sugar for like a fluffernutter macaron

Whipped ganache is by far the most stable one over tried. Taste wise is cream cheese lol

Honestly the lemon thing-y confused my brain for a tiny second because it looks like the McDonalds logo when you scroll through course timeline.

I’d inhale that cake without regrets btw.
