They fucking mill their own senora wheat flour in-house and slow ferment the dough for 40 hours before frying it when you order. These were ready in less than 10 minutes. The dough is insanely good. It’s like a cross between the dough from Pizzeria Sei, the cronut from DK and a good Hawaiian masala.

Front donut is pistachio (6/10), left is Harry’s Berries strawberry glazed (10/10), right is the Banoffee (8/10), back is meyer lemon glazed (9/10). This place is worth the drive. Also, you gotta eat them there while they’re hot.

Freshly milled grains are the truth. Would love for that to catch on as a trend. Looks great will try.

a fried to order donut is a fantastic concept that should absolutely sweep the nation

These look insane. Thanks for the heads up! Next time you go down there, if you want to make a day of it, hit up this Indian place for lunch. They have my favorite buffet in LA/OC. It’s right off the 5 ramp.

Oh finally! I’ve been wanting this lol I feel like I’m being a bother every time I ask the donut guys which donuts are the freshest. A hot donut fresh out of the oil is 100 times better.

Best donuts I’ve had in my life. I would make the drive to Tustin from LA just for these.

They are in Tustin. That’s not really LA. Too far for me . Looks good though.

Thinking about the lemon ones make my mouth wet… I drive 30 miles to get them at least twice a month.

OC must be the secret donut capital of the US, which is random.

IIRC the founder of Oli Boli was also one of the founders of Sidecar

Did you happen to notice any vegan options when you were there? Their menu doesn’t suggest they do but their website also hints they might…

Please don’t tease me with amazing looking donuts in a different county.

Thanks for sharing this. I’m in OC and was thinking of making the drive to LA for these. I was delighted to find out this place is so close to me

Such a tease! So far away! If I was still a young stoner without kids I’d make the trek. And now if I was super wealthy I’d invest and have them open closer. Harry’s Berries on a donut?! Wooowee

I got excited until I saw where this is 🙄
