First time seeing anything like this, I thought these were the peppers starting but it looks like there’s still a flower attached. Very bumpy. I think it’s a bbg7 bubblegum variety if that helps

Looks normal. The flowery part will fall off on its own as the pepper ripens/matures

Can you gently pull the petals off? Looks like pepper grow over itself, odd.

I have never seen anything like that before. Super weird.

Ya this is crazy, ive never seen something like this. How long have they been like this?

    I want updates over time!

This is wild… I have a pepper that is doing the opposite – like a siamese twin one growing out of the other. But this is suuuuper weird… are they all like that? If they are ….guard those seeds with your life and keep planting them and growing them – you got yourself the most unique peppers ever grown!

It’s a deformed cross genetics, It’ll make it but some don’t produce seeds. And have thick walls and such.

This looks like my reapers. Flower will fall off and the tail will emerge from what was the center of the flower. Do a google image search on Carolina Reaper and you’ll easily be able to see where your pepper is headed. Many still have a crease where the flower was.

Very interesting. Looks like a mutation. Please keep us updated on how they pods turn out when they get bigger and ripe.

    Looks interesting!
Don’t think it’s petal, petals usually dry off after pollination, here it’s fresh!
Please keep us posted on later developments.

It is a bleeding calyx. Which derives from 7 pot bubblegum. The pepper will come out over the next few days and when it ripens, the color of the pod will ‘bleed’ into the calyx and up the stem. 😎
