Much better than store bought. These amazing bagels are perfect for a quick breakfast for people on the go. Slice them in half and add some cream cheese and you’re good to go. Super filling and really tasty. Enjoy.
1 1/2 Cup Warm Water
1 1/2 Tsp Dry Active Yeast
1 Tblsp Brown Sugar
Allow to activate for 10 Minutes
4 1/2 Cups (540g) Bread Flour
1 Tsp Salt
In a Pan 3 quarts Water
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Baking Soda
After forming the bagels, boil them in water for 1 minute on each side.
Baste the bagels with an egg wash and top as you like. I used Everything Bagel Seasoning, sesame seeds and poppy seeds.
Bake at 425F for 15 minutes or until the tops turn golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before moving onto a cooling rack.
