First time buying arrowroot noodles – these are typically eaten cold, right?
Just hoping for some recipes on how to eat them.
I know there is mul naengmyon – not sure if I have the right type of noodles or beef broth, plus I don’t have time to make dongchimi in general. Just hoping I can pair these 2 together with whatever I have.
The noodles I can also do bibim guksu style.
WHat are some other ways you like to have the noodles?

Hey I just bought a pack of those noodles. The white bone broth is not what’s normally used for cold noodles, it has a lot of fat in it. Not sure how it would work out. Maybe it’ll be fine.
The most important thing is to have some kind of msg. You can even make cold naengmeyon broth out of ramen seasoning packets. In reality the vast majority of soup cold noodle in korea is basically just doctored dashida / msg.
If I were trying to do this I would chill and dilute the bone broth to see how the mouth feel is, if it’s not too greasy and seems acceptable I would add some dashida and or ramen packet and sugar until it tasted good, then add some vinegar mustard and toppings of your choice.
If the bone broth is too greasy just go with straight dashida/ramen packet.
By the way if your market had these noodles they will definitely have naengmeyon broth packets. I like to mix those with beef broth.
Or if you have some gochujang you can just do bibim naeng myeon which is super easy. Oh you already said that.
Oh it’s you! Haha those things are back on sale but not as cheap as when you got it. Lotte has naeng myeon broth packets for like 50c each on sale. I taste tested all 4 and the beef one is the best. Imo. I added a touch of home made beef broth to it and it was just right.
I got curious so I looked it up, people are using those packets for naengmyeon. So yeah you could just dilute it a bit and add a ramen packet or some kind of boullion and use it for naengmyeon.
