If it split because of previous rains, absolutely.

That’s going to burst if you leave it through a decent storm… maybe even a sprinkle. I’d pick it and let it finish ripening inside

It can only split more. I say take it now.

I literally picked a black beauty yesterday, was perfect; this morning when I looked at it, it had split overnight. It doesn’t even rain inside, so they might be delicate. Better get it now! Lol.

Only going to get worse. It’ll keep splitting even after picking.

I’d pick it anf any others that might worry you. They’ll continue to ripen indoors. I’ve also moved smaller pots into a garage or entryway for shelter.

I’m going to start growing these just to screw with the frigging squirrels.

Wow, what a great looking Tomato. Pick it and bring it inside so it doesn’t split.

As someone who has successfully fed more deer than people with my tomatoes I’m on team harvest as soon as it’s viable and let it ripen on the counter for a few days if needed

I wish my black beauties got entirely black, only the tops of mine do

Is it blushing yet? If so, then yeah pick it before the rain.

If it’s black, it’s ready to pick.

Tip the fruit upside down. If the vine pops it’s ready
