Nish Kumar is a critically acclaimed comic, who has won rave reviews and prestigious award nominations for his stand up. Away from the comedy circuit, he is a regular on TV panel shows like, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Live at the Apollo and Taskmaster and regularly presents programmes like the News Quiz on BBC Radio 4.
Angela Harnett leads a masterclass in Italian cooking, as she makes Gnocchi from scratch with roasted red pepper and chilli pesto. (You, of course, can buy yours at Waitrose). The meal is paired with a delicious Triade Bianco.
Nish Kumar brings plenty of laughter to the table, discussing food; the best meal he’s had in India, family; his parents’ ploy to make him grow up and friendship; what he really thinks of Ed Gamble and James Acaster.
This episode was released in May 2023 and was the eighth episode from Series 3 of Dish from Waitrose.

We can’t all have a Michelin star chef in the kitchen, but you can ask Angela for help.

I have to be honest, Ive watched a fair few episodes now and I cant stop laughing from all the humour, it is just so entertaining to watch and listen to everyones stories, easily to relax to and enjoy the banter along the way! Id love to see a podcast with sarah millican, that would be an epic video 😀
Please can we go back to putting wine into wine glasses. Putting wine into tumblers just seems wrong. Maybe it's just me
Cutie patootie, this guest🫶🏻

I love Nish and he is right this duo is a dynamic. I could watch this podcast all day.
Great Acaster impression 😂
Hitting Acaster is 10 x better as the punchline! 😂😂
Don’t know who Nish is, but I love him! Thanks for another great episode.
Nish is great fun; I love his laugh and his friendship with Mark Watson on Taskmaster was bloody brilliant. Nice bloke.
The man is just naturally funny!
Never heard Angela laugh out loud so much😊
Just fangirling, but honestly angela is so beautiful, and a successful Michelin starred chef 😍love this podcast x
What were the hot teabags though?
Love the cooking, prepping pics and the final article 😂
Don't find him funny at all
Long live Nish Kumar
It looks like a sauna in there, Ange is struggling and Nick is sweating. Get some aircon in Waitrose!
11:20, dude described what we call a potato cake. Potato mixed with egg, flour, and you can add a bit of cheese for extra flavor. A ball or round disk is fried in a skillet. Typically made with left our creamed potatoes. People from the southern US have it with breakfast. And it has a sauce too, country gravy.
Nish has to be the least funniest comedian going
No offense to Angela but in Italy we say that if you need egg in your gnocchi dough you don’t know how to make it. No cheese and no eggs involved, potatoes and flour and that’s it. 🤷🏻♀️
Imagine a gig where you sit and eat nice food and maybe offer a comedic response. Grimmy you so en so
