I’m fairly certain these are cayenne peppers but just wanted confirmation from someone who knows better. Coworker gave me a big bag and they’re fairly hot. Some are bright red some are green some are in between. Are the greens still ok to eat?

Red is ripe
Looks like cayenne to me. Green is fine, just tastes different – more “grassy” and less sweet. For example, ripe jalapeños are red but they’re always sold and served unripe and green. I don’t think I’ve ever seen green cayennes in anything, but they’ll be totally fine if you like the green flavor.
