Which recipe? Im actual pretty partial to the no waste recipe linked to below. It is great for lazy cooks and always has turned out memorably good for us.
The more traditional way of cooking carnitas with far more attended time turns out great for me but the recipe I linked to above is even better. YMMV.

I just made these last night, and I must have went wrong somewhere. The texture was really good, but my meat was lacking flavor and really had to be carried by the toppings. I’m surprised the recipe doesn’t call for any seasoning. For some reason my tomatillo salsa turned out super sour (like a lime), I wonder if my tomatillos weren’t ripe enough? I broiled them and adding sugar didn’t help.
