I came to a Lowe’s Outlet store (Miami) hoping to get the Joe Jr deal from a couple of weeks ago and ended up finding this one. What do you guys think?

I wouldn’t go for it, but I have no interest in that. I’d I’m getting. Kettle grill I’m going for a Weber Kettle

Yes. These are kettles on steroids. You get SO much for your money here. Very, very versatile grill. Have done low and slow for up to 9 hours on these. Also, any accessories that fit the Weber 57 cm ( sorry I’m in 🇬🇧) will fit these.
In fact, the stainless steel rotisserie kit sold by OnlyFire on Amazon is a game changer. I have one and have been using it on this rig for more than 3 years and it’s fantastic BBQ

KJ discontinued it, if that helps with your decision.

Yes, unless you’re considering a true Kamado. Mine is extremely versatile, but I found that you also need to mod them (gaskets added and replaced annually, a different grate for the bottom of the basket, remove the ash tray and get a dedicated bucket to go underneath) and they consume a LOT of fuel. It smokes well, but it’s not great if you want to go for 12 hours. It is NOT compatible with a lot of Kamado Joe accessories, but it does take most Weber 22” accessories. You can cook a lot of dinner on one of these.

Yes! My Lowes had them on clearance for 250 and I got the manager to lower to 199. Used it last week for ribs and they were amazing.

Personally I love mine. I believe it’s the best of both worlds: holds heat much better than a Weber yet not so sealed up you risk dirty smoke and/or steamed food.
IMO it’s a no brainer vs a Weber since it does all the kettle duties with much better construction. I have a Weber Performer and the KJ puts it to shame. If you’re a dialed-in Kamado wizard or aspire to be, the KJ probbly isn’t for you.

I’d be all over it

Yes. KJ might have discontinued them due to lack of sales, but they’re awesome
