I'm sorry liver and onions is the king of the crop put gravy on top please.
I grew up during the era of Jello (gelatin) salad/Jello (gelatin) Anything meals. They were a true staple of small town get together and church cookbooks. Many people loved this food (not me). But the one thing none of the videos with this topic mention is that gelatin is a cheap means of adding protein. Gelatin cookery is legitimate nutrition.
liver and onions are like being in heaven.
What is wrong with ice cream and cream of wheat. The main ingredients in ice cream are milk and sugar. I remember people putting peaches, canned apricot, canned cherries, even chocolate chips in with the milk and sugar in the cream of wheat.
I was born in the late 50's. I grew up in Tennessee in the 70's. I've never heard of most of these dishes. The only ones I heard of was liver and onions and deviled eggs.
I became an adult in the Midwest during this era and don't remember any of these.
Adore liver and onions as long as it's cooked briefly and not like old shoe leather like my ma used to serve up 😅
Um, no thank you, I've already eaten.
As for the edible candles, I would prefer to eat a regular candle.
I’ve never heard of any of these dishes except for liver and onions. Baby boomer
If liver and onions don't make your mouth water I'm guessing scrapple, pigs feet and frog legs wouldn't be appreciated very much either.
Thank you for making me laugh! I snickered through the entire presentation. Most of these dishes I never heard of but I love liver. I buy calves liver which is most tender.Onions are OK but, I liked to fry up bacon and then fry the liver in the bacon grease. The trick is to not fry the liver to death. Also love deviled eggs – made with mayonaise. Anyway, keep up the good work!!
As a Culinary School graduate; Thirty five years ago, I can tell you that pineapple and jello do not get along. Pineapple juice used to be injected into living cows to make the meat softer. Jello is made from leftover cow parts boiled down. I'll eat it any day. Would you like to hear what is in your wheat?! Hahaha, eat everything, just not too much of whatever B-).
I grew up in the 70s. We sometimes had fruit jello for dessert at school. It was good. Most of the dishes that had down ., I wouldn't eat any of that crap. Yuck!
I still eat liver and onions till this day
This nararater is a food kAREN he had something hatefull to say about every dish. Now i know theire were some thar were rought .But if you were hungry back than YOU ATE IT 😮
I like Cream of Wheat. Reminds me of grits, and although I'm not from the south, I love grits.
There’s only like 3-4 recipes that seem gross. Most are weird but look delicious 😂
🤗 I would rather have Sheet-On-A-Shingle than Tuna And Waffles says Sam I Am.
Cream of wheat with butter milk and sugar was a great option besides oatmeal 😢
The commentary is HILARIOUS!!!

I hate Liver but I had a stomach bleed 2 years ago and it put me into anemia. The only thing that brought me back to life was Liver. I smoke it though.
God bless my mom for never serving us any of these! I will remember her Taco Tuesdays and homemade refried beans and rice til the day I die. My father picked a keeper! ❤Mom❤
I remember devald eggs. They are delicious.
Many years ago my SIL served a dinner with tomato aspic (jello) with slices of green olives in it. Looked like bloody eyeballs staring at you.
This dude doesn’t know what a deviled egg is 😂😂
What planet are these recipes from, certainly not mine.
… today.. most of that 'list', might be considered 'child abuse' today , I do, today and yesterday.
One word about '70s food: Cruel.
