I have more habanero peppers than I know what to do with. I've seen some folks smoke them. Any other applications?

Careful. This sub is SUPER self righteous and will give you all kinds of sarcastic, not helpful ideas when you were probably looking for something simplistic like… dehydrate them and use a food processor for pepper flakes (very good btw).

They look fantastic, too! Keep up the good work!

I made some hot sauce for the first time today. It was way easier than I had expected and I had everything I needed on hand.

Mango-habanero hot sauce, wing sauce, jelly, and powder (freeze dried mangos should help here)

Salsa, hot sauce, flakes, etc great job on your first grow!

Put them in a smoker, grind or crush them, endless uses.

Peach habanero is probably the easiest. My go to is habanero sriracha.

Can always pickle them if you’d like to spread their use out.

Slice them in half or quarters , and then let them dry out; store them in mason jars.

Slice ’em or chop ’em and add ’em to just about anything. Habanero rings go great on sandwiches, pizza, and burgers and just about anything else, imo. If you throw them in a mortar and pestle and make a pulp, add some garlic, and some orange juice for consistency and salt to taste, that’s also a really good super fast little salsa for things. There’s a bajillion recipes for the things online, too. Enjoy 🙂

Ferment them and make hot sauce.

For making sauce, salsa, or general cooking in future, freezing works great. They lose their crisp texture, but no flavor loss! I just half-filled a 1 quart freezer bag with habaneros yesterday—cut in half, seeds and stems removed. Just make sure to wear gloves.

I put them in my picke jars to spice up the pickles and pickled habaneros are pretty good too.

I dehydrate them, they keep at least a year. Add to everything you want from there. Just halve them, dehydrate, Mason jar.

I made some mango habanero hot sauce over the weekend with my first harvest.

Turned out really well and was surprisingly easy. I used a blender, but a food processor will probably work better.

Just make sure you sterilize whatever your storing it in.

I cough too much when I smoke them. I like to make a fresh vinegar based sauce. Dried and in a grinder for on top of my fried rice.

I always say that eating them is the best option. Followed closely by keistering them.

Eat them like popcorn but call out sick from work before that!

    Wear gloves.
    Ventilation is critical.
    Wash your hands with Dawn.

    DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING.

Everyone learns the last one. 😁

Hot sauce, jerk chicken, dry them, pickle them, raspberry Habanero sauce, etc.

I don’t even like Habaneros much but grow them for sauces because in small amounts they just have the best heat
