A. Anything labeled "pumpkin spice" should have pumpkin/pumpkin flavor in it.

B. Pumpkin spice only refers to the spices associated with pumpkin pie – there's no pumpkin in it.

    I agree with both of them but honestly if a macaron also had pumpkin in it, it would be a huge plus

    I do a pumpkin ganache with actual pumpkin that is amazing. I think option A

    I made pumpkin spice macarons and put some actual pumpkin in the filling. They turned out very well. Here’s the filling recipe I used:

    Filling

    57g unsalted butter

    113g cream cheese

    240g powdered sugar

    2 Tbsp. pumpkin puree

    1-1/2 tsp pumpkin spice

    1/2 tsp vanilla

    Pinch of kosher salt

    Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add powdered sugar by the quarter cup until incorporated. Add the rest and mix well.
