Mouse droppings from a packet of jasmine rice. I know rice in general is pretty gross before washing but I usually don't have to see the evidence of that lmao

I’d hope this is rice that wasn’t properly husked, or that it’s somehow a piece of burned rice.

That doesn’t look like mouse droppings. Those are rounded at both ends. Mouse droppings have a little comma-like tail at one end.
We live in the country and have an old house, so I unfortunately know the difference very well 🙃
