My Anova fell, anyone know how to repair the tape part?
My anova sadly took a tumble. the only thing that seems to be disconnected is this tape like thing. Does anyone know how to put that part back into where it goes?

I think you’re referring to the ribbon cable that’s fallen out. Confirm you have it facing the right direction and carefully push it back into that white connector on the top. Just like it’s in the white connector on the bottom

no first hand knowledge, but it doesn’t look damaged. can you lift the white part up, stick the ribbon in, and clamp the white part down? or it might just get shoved back into the slot.

Nobody going to ask why the man’s in his car with his circulator?
Also ribbon cable.

First flip up the white part of the connector, then carefully slide the ribbon cable into the connector, then flip the white part back down to lock it in.
Once you confirm it’s working, super glue the 4 posts back together. If you ever need to service it in the future, you should be able to remove the screws as normal but it may be a bit more difficult because of the glue.

Mine did this from overzealous “putting away the sous vide” It wouldn’t keep temperature and would randomly ascend the heat until our tritips were cooked to 175F That was not a great dinner but the dogs ate it;kids and wife notsomuch 🤢 We just bought another as the internal parts becoming external were unfortunately fatal ☠️

Doesn’t look like yours has a lock. But here’s how we do it in the computer world:
I did this, though my cable didn’t come loose. The top cap is never going to reliably remain in place again. I even tried holding it in place with three small dabs of superglue, and it popped off again anyways, maybe due to heat/moisture. I limp along with mine, only using it occasionally, but I’ve prepared myself mentally to simply buy a new one sooner than later.
