A small saucepan submerged on top of your wrapped food is heavy enough to keep buoyant items down.

I have a mesh, basically chain mail, got it offline for like $20? The pan works fine, just throwing out options

I use a couple of large bulldog clips to hold the bag and fold down the inside lever to keep it submerged.

Same. If the clips are being preoccupied on bags of chips I just grab a pot

You can also just seal a butter knife in the bag too. (As a weight.)

I use a sealed Mason jar full of water, but I like this method. I’m going to try it.

Pick up some cheap magnets at your local hardware store. Simple & works
