Just realized I added the cream with all the ingredients. It was supposed to be mixed in with the cheese after cooking. Did I mess up dinner?

If u have cornstarch that will work to thicking it up

  2. My experience has been that slowcookers don’t get hot enough to turn milk. As is it will probably just be a little thin is all.

    Maybe not.

I would probably use a strainer to separate the liquid from the rest.

Add the non-liquid part in the slow cooker.

Put about a cup of the remaining liquid in and keep it on.

Use a saucepan for the rest and slow simmer to get the consistency you want.

Check the slow cooker ingredients until they are where you want them to be.

Then, you should be able to mix them together (slowly) for your finished result.

Go buy a bag of instant mashed potatoes and add a little of that at the end to thicken the soup.

Take some potato out and blend it, that’ll help thicken it up too.

  6. Turned out great, just a slightly different taste. I ended up cooking it on low and gave it a stir every 30 minutes. I mashed up more of the potatoes to thicken it up. I hopefully won’t make this mistake again, but if I do at least I know it can be saved. Thanks for all the tips guys
