First time trying pork filet and I definitely like it more than pork chops. I can’t articulate properly why I liked it more, other than it was more pork-ier?? See, can’t do it. But I’ll definitely favor these recipes/meals over than the chops.

Loved the sriracha sauce. I did mess mine up a bit, I put some of the butter that was suppose to go in the rice into the sauce so it kind of “diluted” it. Didn’t affect the taste much other than more creamy than spicy. Next time, I just gotta separate my ingredients properly to avoid this. It still tasted great and I’d definitely get this one again. Also easy to recreate, no special HF spices or anything.

I’m also happy to report that I made the carrots and actually liked them! I always thought I didn’t like cooked carrots mostly cause the ones I’ve had were in stews/soups but roasting them is soo much better! I’m glad I tried it, now I wish I used the bigger carrot instead of the smallest one they gave me and even then I still only used half. I also used a bit more oil and added more salt so they had more of a fry taste/texture and cooked them a bit longer than it said. Favorite meal this week!

I hate cilantro in rice so only added the lime flavoring. I also realized after that they didn’t give me sesame seeds for the carrots.

    Weird, HF taught me I like carrots, too. I never minded them in soup or as an ingredient, but I wouldn’t eat carrots as a side dish, ever.

    Suddenly they’re fantastic. 🤷

    Where are you that you’re still getting pork filet as an option? I’ve been getting chicken subbed for pork and, weirdly, only dishes with pork chops offered, which I do not care for.

    Pork chops have a more gritty texture to me and the one HF pork chop meal I had was pretty bad compared to what I can get locally. To me the pork filets are more tender which is what I like.

    Carrots I like prepared in any way. I don’t think I’ve perfected roasting them yet, they basically come out steamed.

    Before HF I normally just steamed most veggies, which I like, however, roasted brussels sprouts and broccoli is fantastic. I’ve had roasted brussels sprouts at restaurants and didn’t like them, they were basically mush. Doing them on my own and getting the outer texture crispy is so freaking good.
