  1. So [Marcella Hazan’s famous tomato sauce recipe](https://archive.is/If7Mv) (which is seriously amazing and super easy) calls for halving a yellow onion and simmering it in tomato/juice and then DISCARDING IT at the end. That was obviously not going to fly. So friggen tasty!
